Laundry Service Contract Agreement

1. Services to Be Performed:

Contract with Extraordinary Ventures of Michigan is subject to the terms of the Laundry Policy Statement below. Please note that by using the laundry service, you agree to the terms of the laundry policy statement as specified below. You understand that in the event that my laundry is missing or damaged, it is insured per item up to a maximum of $300 per bag and that you must notify EVM within 3 business days.

2. Service includes:

Extraordinary Ventures of Michigan Laundry Service includes but not limited to: free green laundry bags, drop off/pick up at Legacy Center for convenience, inventory accounted for arrival and departure of laundry, wash, clean, wrap, fold of laundry, special arrangements (hang-dry, air-dry, etc.), and customer service.

3. Plan Options:

EVM is offering competitive pricing options for the cleaning performed during the 2016 calendar year. Customer will be asked to choose their laundry plan option before the start of the service begins. Pricing is as follows:

General Public Pricing

  • $15 a bag + One time Bag fee of $5 (no contract required)*
  • Free Bag + One bag a week/monthly contract = $60 ($15 per bag)**
  • Free Bag + Two bags a week/monthly contract = $110 ($13.75 per bag)**
  • Free Bag + Three bags a week/monthly contract = $150 ($12.50 per bag)**

*Customers not on the monthly contract will have to pay $5 bag fee that will be returned if customer returns EVM bag and no longer wishes to continue the service.

4. Issued Bags:

Customers may ONLY use the laundry bag provided by Extraordinary Ventures of Michigan. Bright green bags with customer information tag will be given at initial start date. If the initial bag given to the customer is lost, the customer must purchase a replacement bag for $5 in order to continue using the service. However, if the bag is deemed to have been damaged during the pick-up / delivery cycle, the bag will be replaced by Extraordinary Ventures of Michigan at no expense to the customer. Extraordinary Ventures of Michigan will not pick up any bags that are not issued by the organization.

5. The Pick-Up / Delivery Cycle:

Pick-up and Delivery Schedule – When your service begins, you will choose your preferred service day to drop off laundry at the Legacy Center. You may change your service day at any time by email ( or by telephone (248-800-4021). Please note that the pick-up and delivery schedule is subject to change – customers will be notified via email.

It is the customer’s responsibility to leave their laundry bag available for pick-up on their chosen service day. If a bag is not available for pick-up as described above, it will be considered a missed pick up.

Laundry that is not picked up may be rescheduled for a service day later in the week, provided the missed service day was not a Friday (customer would have to wait until following business day unless notified). In order to ensure quality service, please note that each customer can only reschedule a missed pickup once a week.

6. Customer Insurance:

Damaged clothing – All clothes are washed base on clothing materials. Whites and colors are separated during the inventory process. We do our best to ensure quality service for all customers. As such, certain items may be returned without washing to prevent further damage to the garment.

Non-clothing items – Any items left in the customer’s pockets or bag including, but not limited to: pencils, wallets, wrist bands, pens, etc., will be considered non-clothing items. Extraordinary Ventures of Michigan is not liable for any of these items. All items should be removed from all clothing by the customer prior to washing as they may damage clothing during washing.

Lost/Damaged Clothing – Laundry that has not been returned to the customer within 1 week of being declared missing will initiate the refund process. Damaged clothing is defined as items that are torn, ripped, or damaged by the laundry process from the original encounter. Extraordinary Ventures of Michigan insures lost or damaged clothing on a per item basis up to a maximum of $300.00 per bag in accordance to the reimbursement schedule upon request.

7. Terms of Payment:

A. Per Bag Basis will be charged when laundry is complete and picked up.

B. Monthly service contracts will be paid a recurring charge the first week of the month.

C. Alternative payment has been discussed between EVM and customer.

8. Late Fees:

If Customer is late paying EVM, EVM’s damage will be difficult to measure. As a reasonable estimate of the damages EVM will sustain, and as liquidated damages and not as a penalty, Customer agrees to pay EVM an additional 5 % per month interest charge on the amount owed.

9. Time of Completion:

Contract will proceed with the customer’s cooperation in fulfilling a continuation of the current service unless adjustments are necessary. Customer will be responsible to inform EVM if they wish to discontinue service.

10. Warranty:

Extraordinary Ventures of Michigan warrants that all work shall be completed in a good workmanlike manner and in compliance with all building codes and other applicable laws.

11. Terminating the Agreement:

A. With reasonable cause, either Extraordinary Ventures of Michigan or Customer may terminate this Agreement effective immediately by giving written notice of cause for termination.

Reasonable cause includes:

A material violation of this Agreement, or
Nonpayment of Customer’s compensation after 5 business days’ written demand for payment.
Customer shall be entitled to full payment for services performed prior to the effective date of termination.

B. Either Extraordinary Ventures of Michigan or Customer may terminate this Agreement at any time by giving 5 business days’ written notice of termination. Customer shall be entitled to fully payment for services performed prior to the date of termination.

12. Modifying the Agreement:

Extraordinary Ventures of Michigan and Customer recognize that:

Customer may additional requests in Extraordinary Ventures of Michigan’s services that would add time and cost to the project, or delay the service; which would extend laundry time upon mutual agreement.
Other provisions of this Agreement may be difficult to carry out due to unforeseen circumstances. If any intended changes or any other events beyond the parties’ control require adjustments to this Agreement, the parties shall make a good faith effort to agree on all necessary particulars. Such agreements shall be put in writing, signed by the parties, and added to this Agreement.
